Idea: A social media and digital media app/site where when you post, you must classify the post as either 1) free, 2) a post meant to give other people enjoyment (they "take" selfish enjoyment) and therefore they must pay to consume it, or 3) a post that other people earn a micropayment/karma when they read or respond to it (i.e. they "give" advice/effort/attention). Also: all digital media (such as Netflix) could be part of this "give and take" system, not just traditional social media posts, so you could, for example, give advice to people and/or watch commercials to earn enough money to watch a Netflix movie; this structure that encourages people to ask for help/advice could coax people into asking for help, and could make other people feel good for helping them, thus making social media feel less selfish and "hollow"; examples of "take" posts: movies, news, juicy gossip, p*rn, art; examples of "give" posts: commercials/ads, requests for advice, requests for music recommendations/playlists, tit-for-tat artist reviews, birthday posts; the site would probably include financial micropayments as well as a general karma/point system for helping people and group/category specific point systems (such as to encourage comedians to watch or rate each other's videos)
