Idea: Swim goggles to wear while exercising that use VR or augmented reality to make it look like you're being chased by a shark (or zombie or clown or whatever) to scare you to make you run or swim faster. Also: unlike a VR headset, you won't sweat in them and they won't break if you fall down; if you wore them in the ocean, you might misinterpret a real shark as a fake shark and get eaten, or they could augment your view of a dead coral reef to make it look prettier; Erik's "bacon-by-the-foot" patent

1980s Action Fitness

Idea: A 1980s-themed fitness center/camp, including Rocky/Rambo/Schwarzenegger movies on all of the TVs and inspirational "Eye of the Tiger"-style songs for all of the music, old-school karate and martial-art classes which have been made obsolete by MMA, Footloose-"Dirty Dancing" themed dance classes and dance-offs, etc. Also: a "Point Break"-themed pool, a Deathsport-style underground fighting tournament, breakdancing, instructors wearing blue jeans and smoking cigars, etc.; a real-life roller derby "running of the bulls" bar crawl where the derby girls smack people with pool noodles

Ozempikush

Idea: To mix weed with something (like Ozempic) to keep it from giving you the munchies and causing you to gain weight. Also: obesity from weed is the actual gateway to harder drugs (because the harder drugs don't make you gain weight like weed does); caffeine or stimulants in the weed to get you up and moving to burn calories would ruin the weed; a joint that glues your mouth shut for a couple hours so you can't eat; using "smart devices" such as a timed lockbox that locks your weed or a weed-smelling lockbox that locks your Doritos if you're high and have the munchies (but then a hacker could hold your weed hostage in your lockbox until you send him Google Play gift cards)

Russian Roulette Diet 2

Idea: A satirical weight loss program where you strategically jump between (mostly) unhealthy weight loss techniques to ensure you don't do any of them long enough to cause permanent bodily damage. Examples of weight loss techniques included in the program could be fasting, tapeworm, stimulants, medically-induced coma, Fen-Fen (a banned diet pill cocktail), Wim Hof ice hikes, a jug of pre-colonoscopy laxative, Alli (a drug which blocks fat absorption and can give you oily anal leakage), getting flu/Covid on purpose, eating blowfish to fill up your stomach to prevent hunger, etc. Also: a medical professional would monitor you and pull you off an unhealthy weight loss technique early if necessary, and also, for example, make sure you don't do two things that are harmful to your liver in a row; it could be made into a competition show like The Biggest Loser with a spinning wheel for choosing the next technique or a Bride Wars-type show where people try to lose weight before getting married; questioning assumptions and laws concerning the level of harm of drugs

Idea: A delayed-release pill or drink to give you energy in 5 hours so (for example) you can wake up with full energy instead of having to make coffee and wait for it to kick in. Also: it could also contain instant-release Melatonin to both help you sleep now and help you wake up later; springing up when you wake up like Bruce Willis in "Pulp Fiction" and sending the pet who was sleeping on your chest flying across the room; using it on your shared-custody kids so their energy kicks in shortly after you drop them off; similar products called "In 5 Hours Alcohol" to mellow you out during an early afternoon work meeting and "In 5 Hours Nicotine" to help you cope with the stress of a visit to the in-laws

Idea: A smart watch that monitors a menopausal woman's body and alerts her (and optionally her husband on his "Man-On-Pause" device) if her mood or body temperature is about to change. Also: things that bring on hot flashes; the device could include controls for (or it could automatically adjust) the temperature of a room or matress, play calming music, etc.; a menopause-themed party game; a horror movie where social media accidentally causes the menstrual cycles of all the women of the world to sync up

Sickness Commercials

Idea: To use a futuristic Neuralink-style brain implant to make you briefly feel a disease when you watch the corresponding drug commercial on TV, to help you self-diagnose whether or not you have the disease. Also: making you feel worse if you have Covid or a transmittable disease to dissuade you from leaving the house and spreading it; making you feel the pain of a starving person or to lose a child to gun violence during a charity commercial or PSA; giving people universal basic income only if they submit to allowing TV commercials, the government, your doctor, etc. to use your brain implant to cause you pain with the goal if making you a good citizen (ie teaching you empathy, reduce spread of viruses, etc.)

Calorie Counting Device

Idea: A wearable device, like an Apple Watch or patch, that is somehow able to count the calories of the food you eat without any effort on your part, because keeping a food diary, even with an app, is annoying and time consuming. Also: using a combination of sensors and devices to estimate your calorie intake, including the Apple Watch to measure your blood sugar, some sort of implantable device in your stomach or nasal cavity, and a smart toilet to weigh and/or analyze your poop; using a "buttprint" or your DNA to automatically figure out who's using the toilet; an embarrassingly lazy way to count calories

Ice Cream Headache Machine

Idea: A machine which is surgically implanted into your nasal cavity that detects the smell of candy or other unhealthy foods and then rapidly cools down to intentionally give you an "ice cream headache" (aka "brain freeze") to punish you and dissuade you from eating the unhealthy food. Also: its battery could be charged by a wind turbine in your nostril; you could put other gadgets up your nose, like an anti-snoring device or a pepper-spray launcher; the humor of watching thin, classy women digging into their noses in public because of this machine

Idea: Mental health meds that can be inserted *somewhere* in your body like an IUD, so you don't have to take pills or deal with mental illness for long periods of time. Also: worrying that it might have stopped working or trying to dig it out of your body to make it stop working; Neuralink having to wirelessly recharge batteries located in your chest cavity (with wires leading up to your brain) every few weeks; placing the mental health medication "IUD" in your rectum

Stairbags

Idea: A service that uses artificial intelligence to detect if you're falling down the stairs and quickly deploy a safety mechanism to minimize your injuries, such as inflatable bags that shoot forward out of the vertical portion of each stair ("stairbags"), walls that swing out to block your way before you gain momentum, or stairs that turn into a slip-n-slide with a soft landing of some sort at the bottom of the stairwell. Also: using a vat of pudding or food at the bottom of the stairs, so if you're injured and you can't get up, you can survive on the food for days or weeks; safety concerns about using a vat of alcohol at the bottom of the stairs; using slip-n-slide stairs as a security mechanism to keep burglars from going up the stairs and (optionally) to impale them at the bottom of the stairs

Idea: A caffeine pill that you take before going to bed at night which kicks in and wakes you up at a specific time in the morning, so you don't have to fight against your tiredness to get up and make coffee in the morning. Also: are classic sleeping pranks real or myth?; a robot which throws a cold, wet washcloth on your face to wake you up; a revelation that requiring stimulants or gadgets to wake up could be a warning sign that you should lead a healthier lifestyle

Exercise Machine Videogame Controllers

Idea: Handles for an exercise machine (such as a treadmill, bicycle, rowing machine, or even free weights) which contain a game controller for XBox/Playstation/Steam to allow you to play A-list videogames while exercising. The handles could be swapped from exercise machine to exercise machine to allow you to perform a type of exercise which doesn't interfere with your gameplay at any given moment. The actual exercise (the pedaling of a bicycle, for example) wouldn't impact the gameplay, although maybe that feature could be added later as an enhancement. Also: gyms are like medieval torture; almost falling off the back of a treadmill when preparing to jump in a videogame; playing a videogame while exercising to improve your fitness training; nerdy details on Tom's prototype treadmill videogame controller and how exercise equipment manufacturers could incorporate videogames into their devices

Idea: To infuse a miswak stick (a tree stick traditionally used in the Middle East to brush your teeth without toothpaste) with nicotine or caffeine. Idea: To use Boston Dynamics robotic dogs to save the lives of people whose hearts have stopped by jumping on their chests and rapidly cooling their bodies, thus giving rescuers an extra hour or two to revive them. Shake and Shock Alarm Clock

Idea (NSFW): An alarm to shake your bed or shock you to wake you up. It could also defibrillate you, scare you during horror movies, and pleasure you. But don't use it if you're pregnant (wink wink). Also: it would hurt coffee sales; gradually shaking you more intensely until you wake up; hacking it to strengthen the shock
