Butt-Chugging Water To Avoid Dehydration When Sick

HealthTom WalmaComment

Idea: If you're too sick to drink water without vomiting it back up, and you cannot get to the hospital, maybe you can avoid dehydration and save your life by butt-chugging water. Also, Matt shares his butt-chugging expertise
(Note: not based on medical expertise, please consult a doctor instead)

eHomicide

App, Evil, SillinessJustin SiekierkaComment

Idea: A (fictional, satirical) website for connecting terminally ill people who wish to die with serial killers who wish to kill them. The goal would be to solve the problems of unwanted end-of-life suffering, and of healthy people being killed. It would be similar to an online dating website, and would help people find a compatible match based on criteria such as the method of execution, location of execution, physical attractiveness, political party, etc. Also, it would also be a great way to reduce health care costs, and the terminally ill could serve as "test dummies" for new medical devices/procedures which aren't perfected enough to permanently cure them, but could give them a short-term boost in health, in order to make them a more challenging (and therefore satisfying) kill

Bathroom Cleanliness Invention Ideas

Invention, TechTom WalmaComment

Two ideas to help make public restrooms cleaner: 1) A camera inside a bathroom stall door which is mechanically connected to the door lock. It would slide completely inside the door (so it can't see anything) when the door is locked, and align with a hole in the door to view the stall when the door is unlocked, so it can see who made a mess in the stall as they leave the stall, and 2) half-globe-shaped devices which fold down over the two halves of a horseshoe-shaped toilet seat when the toilet seat is up (kind of like those half-globe things in hair salons that fold down over people's heads). The half-globe devices would clean the toilet seat by spraying it with water and then drying it off with an air blower

Apple Tree Nets

Food, InventionSimon CarlsonComment

Idea: Nets to catch apples which fall out of apple trees, so they don't land on the ground, in which case they can't legally be sold in stores. The nets could also be used to catch deer who wander into the apple orchard trying to eat the apples

Breakfast Brick

Business Idea, FoodSimon CarlsonComment

Idea: A "fast casual" Chipotle-like restaurant for breakfast food (like a breakfast buffet, but with someone standing between you and the food, making you late for work). Or a drive-thru where the breakfast food as squeezed into a portable "breakfast brick" that you can eat in your car

At-Home Fan Referees

Silliness, TV Show, SportsSal DemilioComment

Idea: A random sports fan watching a live game in their house is contacted via webcam or smart TV, and given the task of being the referee and making a call in the game. This'll make watching the game exciting because people get a chance to affect the game, but it might destroy your Nana's life if Nana makes a bad call and angers everyone in the community

Conversations with God

Book, SillinessStu McCallisterComment

Idea: A book detailing the author's conversations with God, where the author plays the character of a naive simpleton, and God gives him simple advise on life and how the world works. It'll have an irreverent and humorous bent, despite the misleading title, so people dying of cancer will buy the book seeking emotional comfort and instead find dick jokes

Helper Faires

Charity, Event or ActivityTom WalmaComment

Idea: Community events based on a theme (such as clothes, electronics, baby stuff, food, etc.) where people in the community get together to sell, donate, recycle, make, repair, customize, mentor/teach, etc., all based on that particular theme. Kind of like a flea market, recycling center, repair/customization shop, etc. all in one. The goals are to make charity and recycling more convenient and efficient, and to bring people in a community together (including people of different income levels, for example: rich people getting clothing repaired/resized at the same place that poor people receive clothing donations)

DickAfterlife Messaging App

App, Social Media, EvilCamila BallarioComment

Idea: An app/service to send social media messages to people on your behalf after you die, so you can get your revenge and/or say constructive things that you don't have the courage to say, and avoid dealing with the consequences. It could make money by charging you if you a) change your mind and don't want to send a message, or b) are on your deathbed and want to see other people's afterlife messages which they targeted to you

Apocalypse Tiny Houses

Doomsday Prepping, Futuristic, Tiny Houses, SillinessTom WalmaComment

Tom's obsession with "black balls" (author Nick Bostrom's metaphor for future technologies that could end humanity) gives him the idea for tiny houses which are built to withstand apocalyptic disasters, such as virus outbreaks or nuclear/meteor firestorms. Since they're mobile, you can drive them into apocalypse testing facilities, such as a "car wash that uses fire instead of water", to make sure they actually work

JurWrestle Park

Movie, SciFi, SillinessJustin SiekierkaComment

Idea: A Jurassic Park parody, where instead of the eccentric billionaire cloning dinosaurs (who run amok in a park and kill people), he clones dead professional wrestlers from the 1980s (who also run amok in a park and start killing people). Yokozuna stomps on the ground and causes the water in the cup to shake, The Ultimate Warrior shakes the fence and breaks loose, Macho Man is the dilophosaurus who spreads his colorful wings, the raptors are a tag team, and the main characters escape when the murderous wrestlers are attacked by an even larger murderous wrestler

Cat Repellent Spray

Pets, SillinessKurt BrownComment

Idea: A repellent spray to keep neighborhood cats out of your yard, so that they don't defecate in your flower pots. Environmentally-friendly alternative solutions are also discussed, such as dogs, and helping the "cat ladies" get dates so they don't try to fill the gaping holes in their souls with cats

Bed Invention Ideas

Invention, SillinessTom WalmaComment

A bunch of ideas to make beds better, such as
* Side-walls to lean against to support your midsection so you don't have to stuff a pillow in front of your stomach to hold in your gut fat
* Split-bed tents which mimic the gradual light and temperature reduction of night-time and hold in the sounds of snoring and smells of night-time flatulence so you don't annoy your spouse
* A mini under-bed panic area with a bulletproof mattress and sniper holes to shoot at the intruder's feet
* Etc.

Funeral Attendance Stand-Ins

Silliness, Business IdeaNick LeydorfComment

Idea: An app to hire a stand-in if you don't want to go to a funeral, but you feel socially obligated to attend. They could sign your name in the funeral guest book, pretend to be you (except when talking to the handful of other people at the funeral who know you), listen to and/or record other people's conversations to give you info to use in future social situations, etc.

Privatized Roads

Futuristic, Tech, CarsMark SweetmanComment

Idea/prediction: If a company like Tesla or Uber owns all of the cars instead of people owning cars, they will have a financial incentive to own the roads and keep the roads in good shape, because they would have to pay for damage to their massive fleet of cars due to potholes, etc. Also, they could remove "redundant roads" to save costs, because if it takes longer to deliver stuff to a place because the road on the most direct route no longer exists, that extra time doesn't cost much if the cars are all electric and self-driving
