Hole-y Day Holiday

Event or Activity, NSFW, SillinessTed MossComment

Idea (NSFW): An atheist holiday named "Hole-y Day" where you put a hole in your yard, such as a giant tire, to signify both the vast emptiness of the universe and your desire to participate in a Holey Day free love session with someone you've never been with. Also involves throwing things into holes, monkeys, and a symbolic deity who wears yoga pants

Smart Shock Collars for Cats (To Save Birds)

Animal Rights / Vegan, Futuristic, Pets, TechTom WalmaComment

Idea: Shock collars which shock cats when they're attacking birds, to keep pet cats from killing so many birds that the birds go extinct. The shock collars would use cameras and artificial intelligence to figure out when the cat is attacking a bird. The cameras could also provide fun cat-view video footage. The shock collars could also shock a mountain lion if it's eating the pet cat, to deter the mountain lion from killing and eating future cats

Post-COVID Garage Cities

Environmentalism, Futuristic, Tech, App, Business Idea, HealthTom WalmaComment

Idea: An electric car charging station consisting of dozens of 2-stall garages, where each car is charged indoors in privacy in it's own 2-stall garage. The car being charged is in one side of a garage, and "something to do" for around 40 minutes is in the other side of the garage. Examples of "stuff to do" include private movie theaters, barbers, dentists, Redbox movie rental machines, restaurant tables, hot tubs, etc. The "things to do" could be wheeled in on demand and ordered using a phone app. These 2-stall garage facilities could basically replace entire cities, and could slow down the transmission of the Coronavirus because they reduce or eliminate person-to-person contact, and they can be modified to implement virus protection measures more easily than normal stores/businesses (for example, an airproof plastic sheet could be placed between the customer's side of the garage and the business/service side of the garage). They could also help small businesses financially survive the Coronavirus because these businesses would no longer need a storefront or fixed location building which would require them to pay rent every month. Also, they could be a place for you to watch a sad movie where other people can't see you cry

Partial Movie Remakes

MovieBill MorrisonComment

Idea: If a movie or TV series was ruined by a bad ending or a poor actor, but was otherwise good, they could replace the bad part and re-release it (instead of remaking the entire thing from scratch). There could be a Netflix series for these "fixed" movies. They could also be re-released to theaters and/or re-submitted for awards

My Little Satanist Starter Kit

Evil, Prank, SillinessRichie McLonisComment

It's weird that the Ouija Board, an occult/spiritualist séance communication device, was marketed to kids by a major corporation (Hasbro) as a toy. Idea: why not also sell other witchcraft/satanist/voodoo items to kids as a kit? The kit could include items such as voodoo dolls, a pentagram on a Twister-like sheet, fake blood, about 40 fake candles, etc. Technology could also be used, such as wearable devices to shock you when someone pokes the voodoo doll, or a GPS tracker that alerts someone when you're using the kit, so they can come scare you

Kid-Powered Theme Park

Business Idea, Event or ActivityTom WalmaComment

Idea: An amusement park containing carnival-sized rides and small roller-coasters which are all powered by kids, either while they're riding the ride or while they're in line for the ride. They'd power the rides by pedaling, pulling on a rope, spinning a giant wheel, etc. The fact that they'd be contributing to the fun of other kids would provide a deeper level of contentment than just passively experiencing the rides. Also, it'd wear them out, and therefore give their parents some private time later in the evening.

Chore Bartering App 2

App, NSFWBryan DeuchlerComment

Idea (NSFW): An app to barter or trade chores and menial tasks with people in your neighborhood, because some people might find some tasks more or less annoying than other people. Tasks that can be bartered/traded include walking the dog, helping you when you're sick or drugged out, popping zits on your back, small talk, foreplay, etc. Also: doing a bunch of small tasks in exchange for a big task, bartering for TEACHING how to do a task (for people who didn't learn from dads), Tom being too embarrassed to ask a "big strong man" to do a menial task that he's not strong enough to do

Note: Amanda Brewington proposed a similar chore bartering app in episode 56

SciFi, Silliness, NSFWAvery SommerfeldComment

Idea (NSFW): To use genetic engineering to combine plants with animals or people, so they can be your pets/friends/partners, can let you know if they need water or nutrients to grow better, or can be easily cloned and made into a plant army to take over the world. Remote Control for In-Person Conversations

SciFi, SillinessMatt HamiltonComment

Idea: A sci-fi device that allows you to use controls currently found on a television remote control (pause, fast-forward, volume up/down, closed captioning, etc.) to control conversations in real life. The primary purpose would be to skip boring small talk when you wish someone would hurry up and get to the point, but you could also pause/rewind if you need to hear something again, etc.

eHomicide

App, Evil, SillinessJustin SiekierkaComment

Idea: A (fictional, satirical) website for connecting terminally ill people who wish to die with serial killers who wish to kill them. The goal would be to solve the problems of unwanted end-of-life suffering, and of healthy people being killed. It would be similar to an online dating website, and would help people find a compatible match based on criteria such as the method of execution, location of execution, physical attractiveness, political party, etc. Also, it would also be a great way to reduce health care costs, and the terminally ill could serve as "test dummies" for new medical devices/procedures which aren't perfected enough to permanently cure them, but could give them a short-term boost in health, in order to make them a more challenging (and therefore satisfying) kill

Bathroom Cleanliness Invention Ideas

Invention, TechTom WalmaComment

Two ideas to help make public restrooms cleaner: 1) A camera inside a bathroom stall door which is mechanically connected to the door lock. It would slide completely inside the door (so it can't see anything) when the door is locked, and align with a hole in the door to view the stall when the door is unlocked, so it can see who made a mess in the stall as they leave the stall, and 2) half-globe-shaped devices which fold down over the two halves of a horseshoe-shaped toilet seat when the toilet seat is up (kind of like those half-globe things in hair salons that fold down over people's heads). The half-globe devices would clean the toilet seat by spraying it with water and then drying it off with an air blower

Apple Tree Nets

Food, InventionSimon CarlsonComment

Idea: Nets to catch apples which fall out of apple trees, so they don't land on the ground, in which case they can't legally be sold in stores. The nets could also be used to catch deer who wander into the apple orchard trying to eat the apples

Silliness, TV Show, SportsSal DemilioComment

Idea: A random sports fan watching a live game in their house is contacted via webcam or smart TV, and given the task of being the referee and making a call in the game. This'll make watching the game exciting because people get a chance to affect the game, but it might destroy your Nana's life if Nana makes a bad call and angers everyone in the community

Conversations with God

Book, SillinessStu McCallisterComment

Idea: A book detailing the author's conversations with God, where the author plays the character of a naive simpleton, and God gives him simple advise on life and how the world works. It'll have an irreverent and humorous bent, despite the misleading title, so people dying of cancer will buy the book seeking emotional comfort and instead find dick jokes

Helper Faires

Charity, Event or ActivityTom WalmaComment

Idea: Community events based on a theme (such as clothes, electronics, baby stuff, food, etc.) where people in the community get together to sell, donate, recycle, make, repair, customize, mentor/teach, etc., all based on that particular theme. Kind of like a flea market, recycling center, repair/customization shop, etc. all in one. The goals are to make charity and recycling more convenient and efficient, and to bring people in a community together (including people of different income levels, for example: rich people getting clothing repaired/resized at the same place that poor people receive clothing donations)

Idea: An app/service to send social media messages to people on your behalf after you die, so you can get your revenge and/or say constructive things that you don't have the courage to say, and avoid dealing with the consequences.
