No Hot Shower Water Until You Floss

Health, Invention, TechTom WalmaComment

Tom didn't floss. He bought a water pik, and he still didn't floss. He bought a water pik to go into his shower, and he still doesn't floss. So he thinks there should be an app to detect that you use the shower water pik, and if you don't use it, it blocks you from having hot water in the shower. That way, maybe he'll finally floss

Air Hoses For Oscillating Fans

InventionTom WalmaComment

Idea: A baseball-width air hose to attach to the back of an oscillating fan, where the air hose leads to a cool basement or to cool night-time outdoor air (possibly using the same hole on the side of your house as the "bug disposal hole" from the previous idea)

House Bug Disposal Hole

Animal Rights / Vegan, InventionTom WalmaComment

Idea: A small hole in the side of your house or in a window to use to conveniently and humanely eject bugs from your house which you catch using a handheld "bug sucker" device

Community-Organized Public Shaming

Evil, Social MediaBryan DeuchlerComment

Brian wants community-run public shaming of people who do minor (legal) bad things like cutting someone off in public or insulting someone. Tom hates the idea, gets on his soapbox, and makes it awkward

Baby Translator

Futuristic, Parenting, TechBryan HarrisonComment

A "baby translator" should be possible by now. Or at least a giant mother-scaring helmet that can analyze the baby's brain waves and figure out why it's crying, including where on its body a pain signal is coming from. Although this would lead to social pressure to use the brain-scanning helmet whenever out with the baby in public, such as on an airplane

Open Mic Franchising

Business Idea, Event or Activity, Standup ComedyDaniel KumapayiComment

Idea: Franchising of standup comedy open mics (and possibly other types of shows, like burlesque) by selling promotional templates, merch, and maybe even audio equipment as a package to people who want to run shows in other towns

Shock Collars for People

EvilSteve KazComment

Shock collars or ankle bracelets for unruly children, comedians who're bombing on stage, or people who're trying to quit smoking. Also, if in public, is it more humane (or less in-humane) to discretely shock someone's ankle or visibly spray them in the face with a spray bottle?

Pet Talking Device

Pets, FuturisticJacob BarrComment

If they invented a device to allow dogs and cats to talk, they'd be better pets. Or they'd use their cuteness to steal jobs from beautiful people, and vote Republican

Wrong Number Scamming Rights

EvilJacob BarrComment

If a you get a call from a telemarketer or a wrong number, you should be allowed to scam them, and they should be legally required to give you whatever you manage to scam from them, including money, a kidney, or a small child

Street Justice

Tech, Evil, App, CarsGimmy CiprianoComment

An app or electronic device to help you humiliate or take revenge upon rude or reckless drivers. Also, should we have different car horns for different emotions, and/or eliminate the car horn?

Car Hookup Spot App

App, NSFW, Social Media, CarsJeff HorsteComment

An app to tell you the best places (private, safe from cops and criminals) to hook up in your car, which you might want to do because you don't want to show your partner how gross your apartment is. Plus, a beneficial role for perverts in society

Contact Buy App

App, MusicTom WalmaComment

An app named "Contact Buy" for performers to sell digital music/comedy and digital photos and autographs to fans at their shows. That way, the fans don't have to deal with annoying physical things like CDs or "download cards", and they can use the digital autograph and photo taken with the musician/artist as "album art" when the song is played on their phones. And since the artist sells directly to the fans, they don't have to give a 30-40% cut to an iTunes/Amazon/GooglePlay digital music store

Serve Mouthwash in Bars

FoodBart DangusComment

Since mouthwash has alcohol in it, why not serve it as a drink in bars? You could use the lid of the mouthwash bottle as a shot glass, and maybe serve it as a drink named "Winter Gut". Also, it might be the only recreational drug that make your teeth healthier

Butt Sweat Reduction Ideas

Health, InventionTom WalmaComment

Tom has a sweaty butt. If he's sitting down, sometimes ONLY his butt sweats, and he's afraid if he stands up and his butt is drenched in sweat, it'll look like he peed his pants. He tried Gold Bond powder without success, so he came up with some better ideas, such as harnesses to allow you to dangle in the air instead of sitting, pants and underwear made of silver which can act like a computer processor heat sink for your body, and slow release ice pills/suppositories
